A new firmware update has been released for Apple's latest iPhone that seeks to get rid of a few of the handset's bugs.
According to phoneArena, the manufacturer has launched the 2.0.2 update of its firmware that can be downloaded for free and installed into the new iPhone 3G as well as its first generation predecessor.
It is noted that the new download aims to improve a number of issues related to the mobile phones, although Apple have been vague on exactly what these "bug fixes" are.
However, the site adds that it is largely expected that the 2.0.2 update will offer improved 3G performance for both loading times and signal strength, as well as "fewer crashes in 3rd party applications" and reduced keyboard lag.
Apple also announced this week that it would extend the free subscription services of its MobileMe internet and syncing service for a further 60 days.
